About Our Church

Southside Baptist Church was founded in 1956 and exists today for the purpose of reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. SSBC is a family that seeks to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love Our Neighbor, by ministering throughout our surrounding communities. SSBC is a multi-generational church family that consists of believers from all walks of life. We at SSBC strive to be friendly, encouraging, and biblically sound.

SSBC seeks to edify through expository preaching and teaching, gospel centered music, and ministries to children, youth, and adults. Life groups meet weekly for fellowship and teaching, men and ladies meet throughout the year for encouragement, and senior adults meet regularly for fellowship.

What to expect?

At SSBC we love to see new faces! Our Sunday worship service begins at 11 am and consists of traditional and newer hymns. A large portion of our worship service is devoted to expository preaching in a relevant manner applicable to current life situations.

Am I Expected To Give?

Our offering on Sundays is a part of our worship; however, as our guest there is no expectation for you to give. We just want you to come and be a part of our worship services. You will have an opportunity to fill out a Connect Card so we can get to know you better and pray for you more effectively.

Are there any activities for children or youth during services?

We have a nursery (through age 2) available for every service. Our children 3 yrs. old and up, and teens have Life Groups on Sundays at 10 AM. Our adult Life Groups also meet at 10 AM on Sundays. During our 11:00 AM worship service, children 3 yrs. old – k have Children’s Church. Parents can pick their children up after the worship service. On Wednesdays at 7 PM we have classes for every age beginning at 3 yrs. old – Teen Group.
